Clase Azul

Reposado, Gold and Mezcal Durango. Three distinct Mexican spirits for private clients, gifting and hospitality enquiries.

Clase Azul Gold being poured alongside a meal

Clase Azul brings together Mexican spirits and a distinctive approach to presentation. For Deligoods, its interest lies in the combination: a bottle that can have a clear place in a private bar or gifting brief, with a spirit that should be chosen on its own merits. The expression matters as much as the recognisable decanter.

Our sourcing selection includes Clase Azul Reposado, Clase Azul Gold and Clase Azul Mezcal Durango. These are three different propositions. Reposado and Gold are tequilas; Durango is a mezcal. Deligoods welcomes private and hospitality enquiries, with current availability, presentation, pricing and delivery confirmed before an order is agreed.

Clase Azul Reposado

Reposado is the familiar blue-and-white ceramic presentation associated with the house. The tequila is matured for eight months in American whiskey casks. Published descriptions emphasise cooked agave, vanilla, orange and gentle spice, with a rounded style.

We would consider it for a private home bar, a hospitality setting where guests already request the brand, or a gift for someone who enjoys aged tequila. It is particularly useful to know whether the recipient likes that rounded style. Recognising a bottle is not the same as knowing the drinker’s preference, and a good selection takes both into account.

For a restaurant or hotel, the product should have a clear role on the list. Staff need to be able to identify it as reposado tequila and explain why it is being offered. The ceramic decanter provides a visual point of recognition, but the conversation should also cover the spirit and the way it will be served.

Clase Azul Gold

Gold is presented by the producer as a tequila blend inspired by Mexican sunsets. It combines different tequila components rather than following the same straightforward maturation description as Reposado. Its presentation is also distinct, making the exact expression important when responding to a gifting request.

For Deligoods, Gold is a candidate for a more specific brief: a buyer seeking this expression, a carefully chosen gift, or a private dinner where the bottle forms part of a considered spirits selection. It should not be offered as a silent replacement for Reposado. Agreeing the product name before confirming a purchase avoids disappointment when the style or appearance is central to the request.

When selecting Gold for an occasion, decide whether it is intended to be opened and shared or presented as a gift. Those uses can require different arrangements for packaging, transport and timing. Tell us if the original presentation is essential, and allow time for those details to be checked.

Clase Azul Mezcal Durango

Durango is the mezcal in this selection. It is made from Cenizo agave and belongs in a different category from the house’s tequilas. That distinction is useful for buyers building a private agave collection or a hospitality list that introduces guests to more than one Mexican spirit.

We would discuss Durango with a client who already enjoys mezcal, or with a bar team that has a specific reason to add it. It should not be selected simply because someone has asked for an expensive tequila: the category is different, and expectations should be aligned before purchase.

A small, thoughtfully explained agave selection can be more effective than a long list. Offering tequila and mezcal side by side gives the team an opportunity to explain the differences without suggesting that one is automatically better. Choose the expressions around the customers you actually serve.

Choosing between the three

Begin with what the recipient drinks. Reposado is the starting point to discuss when the request centres on the familiar blue-and-white bottle and aged tequila. Gold is appropriate when its particular blend and presentation are part of the brief. Durango belongs in a mezcal conversation.

For gifting, a photograph or the exact product name can be very helpful. For hospitality, tell us whether you are responding to guest requests, creating a new listing or buying for a single event. These are different purchasing decisions, and they need different quantities and delivery planning.

We recommend confirming a current quotation before committing a product to a printed menu or promising it to an event client. Sourcing access does not establish a permanent replenishment schedule, and a successful first order is best followed by a discussion of future requirements.

Service and presentation

Our service suggestion is to give the spirit room to be appreciated. Start with clean glassware and a simple presentation. Discuss the guest’s preference before adding ice or using a mixer. If the product is being chosen for a cocktail, agree the recipe and commercial purpose with the bar team first.

Distinctive decanters also need practical thought. Plan a secure place for storage and service, particularly on a yacht or at an outdoor event. Keep original packaging where it is needed for gifting or onward transport, and avoid treating a display position as a substitute for suitable storage.

Questions about sourcing Clase Azul

Is Clase Azul Durango a tequila?

No. It is a mezcal made from Cenizo agave. Reposado and Gold are the tequilas covered in this feature.

Can Deligoods help with a single gift?

Private enquiries are welcome as well as hospitality requests. Tell us the expression, occasion, destination and required date. We will confirm what can be supplied and on what terms.

Can I choose by the bottle colour?

A photograph can help identify the intended expression, but the final quotation should use its full name. Presentation alone is not a reliable substitute for checking the product.

Can you arrange supply for a villa or yacht?

We can assess the request. Include the delivery location, receiving contact, timing and quantities, along with any access arrangements. Supply and delivery remain subject to individual confirmation.
